HUMMINGBIRDS

Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Seen in The Woodlands, TX)

Those red feathers are not colored red -- but they REFLECT certain lights. If light does not reflect off of the feathers, you might mistakenly think you have an entirely different hummingbird!
This feisty guy (these four photos) kept ALL other invading hummingbirds our of his 3 feeders in September!

You can see he's a fighter -- just look at his beak!!

What a tongue -- perfect for sucking in the nectar from flowers (or water from a feeder).
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - female A nest -- look at the TINY size! Top photo: That's Mamma's beak, coming to feed "junior."
